Premature organic baby gifts, undyed:

Organic comforters or "doudous", especially undyed ones, are wonderful toys for premature babies - particularly those which have a wool or organic cotton filling.  These natural comforters will absorb a mother's scent when held against her skin (ideally for a night or two) so that when placed alongside a baby, he or she will feel reassured by the familiarity of his or her mother's scent nearby.  This can be particularly valuable for helping with bonding for premature babies who may be partially or entirely unable to have parental contact in the early days due to medical restrictions.  Another time when this "scenting" can be soothing for babies is at night time, to help settle them to sleep or when they are not being held.  The absence of facial features on some toys avoids possibly unsettling a very young baby.

Again, natural comforters are a lovely toy for all young babies and many in our ranges come as rattles in very similar, more compact designs.
